Tips:
1. This mount can be used to attach an iPhone holder onto the handlebars. Click here for a list of iPhone holders that attach directly to this mount. Simply twist the mount head and remove the holder and phone if you wish to leave the bike unattended.
2. Most RAM-HOL-xx holders can be used in the same way with the RAP-274-1. This means that Garmin handheld GPS receivers like the Oregon, Dakota, Colorado, GPS 60 & 76 series, eTrex units, etc can be safely and quickly mounted on your bike.

I've ordered from Ram Mount before so I'm familiar with the quality of their products, however, I wasn't completely convinced this mount would be keep my Garmin eTrex in place on the handlebar of my bicycle because it is retained in place by zip-straps. The mount is provided with 2 rubber base mounts, 1 tapered and 1 straight which was useful because I thought I'd need the tapered one but instead used the straight one. It is also provided with 3 sets of different length bolts for securing the mount to a holder. Fitting only took a few minutes but I previously cleaned the bar where I was going to stick the neoprene adhesive strip. I also tightened the zip-straps using pliers rather than just rely on my finger strength because at this point I wasn't convinced the mount wouldn't move on the handlebar. I then attached the Garmin eTrex Series Holder (see my review) and went out for a ride. It was a rough ride out, so rough the batteries in the eTrex became dislodged but the mount stayed firmly in place. I would definitely recommend this product. Also I note that RAM Mount do an EZ-ON/OFF Rubber Adapter and Ties kit if you change bikes.
