OVERVIEW

The popular spring-loaded RAM® X-Grip® phone holder features an 'X' design that expands and contracts to provide a perfect fit for your device – even if it's in a case. Made of high-strength composite and stainless steel, the RAM® X-Grip® phone holder is compatible with a wide variety of RAM® double socket arms and mounting bases. This version of the RAM® X-Grip® fits phones ranging from 1.87" to 3.25" in width and keeps your device completely functional and accessible. No matter what double socket arm and mounting base you pair the RAM® X-Grip® with, RAM® ball and socket technology allows for near-infinite adjustability to achieve the ideal viewing angle – while also extending the life of your phone by providing shock and vibration damping. For outdoor applications – like being used as a motorcycle phone mount – the RAM® X-Grip® includes a device tether that is recommended for added security and peace of mind.

I had the RAM X-Grip mounted on my BMW GSA for a weekend of trail riding and it proved itself. I'd only tried it for one short road ride before. It held my iPhone (Satnav, mapping and route recording) securely over every lump and pothole and didn't even move when the bike went down in deep sand. The corner of the phone (in a small close-fitting waterproof case) was also exposed to the 70mph wind on the way up, as I had a small Jetflow screen fitted for the weekend; the phone didn't budge. Secure, no vibration and the quickest on/off of any phone holder I've used. Very happy with it.

What a superb product! I was fed up with cheap mounts that don't grip the phone properly or cannot be adjusted for different phone positions on the windscreen (or drop off!) so bought this together with a 1" ball & socket arm (RAP-B-201U-A) and a 3" suction cup (RAP-B-224-2U) and now my Samsung Galaxy S3 is rock solid on the windscreen! It can also be adjusted to almost any angle and it leaves plenty of room for the power lead and the video camera (which is not obscured making filming whilst driving also possible). Highly recommend for a long life mount that fits a variety of phones/sat navs/cameras etc etc

What a clever little product! I use it with a short arm and suction base in my car to hold my iPhone or sat nav. The suction base is by far the best I've used - none of this lick and stick rubbish! Would recommend.
